GMC JC Athletics Continues to Expand with Women's Golf

The GMC JC Athletic Department continues to reach new heights after coming off the most successful year in the GMC JC Athletic Department history, we are excited to announce that the JC Athletic Department will be adding a Women's Golf program slated to begin competing in the Fall of 2018.  It is the right time for GMC to add Women's golf to its offerings of intercollegiate athletics.  With the Men's team coming off their NJCAA Division III National Championship in June, the completion of the Mason Golf Performance Lab (Indoor Facility) and the securing of fantastic practice facilities at Reynolds Plantation, Harbor Club, and the Club at Lake Sinclair, the GMC Administration believes now is the right time to expand the department with this additional program.

Bert Williams, Director of Athletics at GMC, stated that, "We are very excited to be adding Women's Golf to our intercollegiate athletic department for the 2018-2019 academic year.  There has been a lot of excitement and interest surrounding the installation of the Mason Golf Performance Lab and our Men's Golf National Championship and bringing on Women's Golf is a natural progression to our history of elevating opportunities for female student athletes at Georgia Military College and leveraging the facilities and relationships we have built to support our golf programs.  I am looking forward to bringing this program on board and seeing it develop into a strong and competitive program at GMC."

The Women's Golf program will be competing in the NJCAA  and will be offering student athletes scholarship opportunities to compete athletically and pursue their degree here at Georgia Military College.  With "Start Here, Go Anywhere" as Georgia Military College's goal for its students, the Women's Golf program will seek to provide that opportunity for female student athletes to get grounded in the classroom and further develop their game so that they can "Go Anywhere" from here.
