NJCAA #22 GMC Bulldogs Win Big at Home

The NCJAA #22 GMC Bulldogs run their win streak to 2 with a convincing 73-17 win over Palmetto Prep Academy on Saturday, September 10th on Military Appreciation Day.  The ground game was on point as the Bulldogs rushed for almost 10 yards per carry to end the day with a total of 348 yards for the game.  Kawon Bryant (SO, Statham GA) led the way with 14 carries and 168 yards and 3 TD's.  For the season he is averaging 102 yards per game with a 9.3 per carry average.  Nathaniel Harvey (FR, Knightdale NC) carried the ball 3 times for 52 yards.  The Bulldogs had 5 other rushers that scored TD's for the strong effort at home.  Cameron Rosendahl (SO, Acworth GA) led the passing game with a 12-17 201 yard 2TD, 1 INT performance.  Cameron spread the wealth as he completed passes to 10 different receivers with J.Q. Quimbly leading the way with 4 catches for 65 yards.

The Bulldogs on the defensive side of the ball made it difficult for Palmetto Prep Academy to get any momentum going.  The stingy GMC defense allowed only 14 yards on 19 carries for the game.  Palmetto was able to get a little bit of momentum early by passing the ball but the GMC Bulldogs made some adjustments at halftime and limited their attempts through the air in the 2nd half.  Dezmond Gee (SO, Cumming GA) had an intercpetion for a 22 yard return and Ja'kalin Lane (SO, Gadsden, AL) lead the team with 4 solo tackles.

The Bulldogs will now hit the road for their game on Sunday, September 18th when the face ASA College NY at James Madison University.  Kickoff is slated for 1pm (ET) and the game can be seen live online at www.jockjivesports.net.
