GMC Football Runs Away with 61-10 Win

The NJCAA #23 GMC Bulldogs went on the road to a neutral site and ran away with a convincing 61-10 win over ASA College NY.  The game was played at James Madison University and was never in question from the opening kickoff until the final horn sounded. The win was bolstered by both the defensive and offensive sides of the ball as GMC grounded out 424 yards of offense and the defense came up with 5 interceptions and 1 fumble recovery to contribute the total team effort.

On the offensive side of the ball, GMC was led by quarterback, Cameron Rosendahl, (SO, Acworth GA) who passed for 242 yards on 16 of 24 attempts for 2 touchdowns.  Cameron was able to connect with 8 different recievers as the Bulldogs were able to keep ASA College off balance. Major Bellamy (FR, Lawrenceville GA), Myles Everrett (SO, Lawrenceville GA), and Isacc Zico (FR, Villa Rica GA)  To support the Bulldog effort, both Ty'Juan Fulton (FR, Fairburn GA) and Kawon Bryant (SO, Statham GA) who rushed for a combined 154 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The stingy GMC defense came up with some big plays to keep the momentum on the side of the Bulldogs as they had 5 interceptions and recovered one fumble and holding ASA College to just 25 yards on the ground.  The defensive effort was led by Jarquaivis Wortham (FR, LaGrange GA), Maruice Williams (SO, Clarkston GA), Malcom Penny (SO, Tallahassee FL), and Jalen Wade (SO, Linclonton GA) and Brandon Henderson (SO, Greenwood SC) with 8, 6, 6, 5, 5 tackles respectively.  The defense is only giving up 13.5 points a game and allowing just 32.3 yards per game on the ground.

The GMC Bulldogs will be back in action as this coming Saturday, September 23rd as they head to #7 ranked DuPage College. The Bulldogs will be looking to run their win streak to 4 as they look to pick up a win on the road.  It will be Military Appreciation Day with the kickoff scheduled for 1pm.  The game will be broadcast in its entirety on www.jockjivesports.net.
