The GMC Bulldogs jumped out to 32 first quarter points against visiting Hocking College and never looked back as they ran their record to 6-1 with a decisive 75-12 win on Saturday, October 8th. For the first time in 3 weeks the Bulldogs played at home and didn't disappoint the home crowd with their performance.   "We got on them pretty hard, pretty fast, and we were executing pretty well and making some plays," said GMC head coach Bert Williams. "We got ahead early and kept cruising."

Both sides of the ball were clicking again as the Bulldogs rolled to 452 total yards on offense and the defense stifled the visitors by holding them to a total of 114 yards for the game.  Leading rusher Kawon Bryant did a majority of his damage early on as he finished with 92 yards on the ground. The Dogs' opening offensive drive only took two minutes as the sophomore had a smooth 40-yard run to the end zone to get his team on top early. Offensive coordinator Ross Robinson's rushing attack saw eight different players contribute on the way to 230 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground Saturday.  Cameron Rosendahl came up big early for the Bulldogs as he was 8-9 for 146 yards and 3 TD's.  GMC was able to get Garrell Quainton some action as well and he went 5 of 10 for 67 yards.  Kawon Bryant and Ty'Juan Fulton led the way on the ground with 92 yards and 54 yards respectively. 

Defensive coordinator Rob Manchester's unit held up its end of the bargain as well on Saturday. The GMC defense has not allowed opposing teams to score more than 17 points during the current win streak. Malcolm Penny was in the face of Hocking's quarterback all afternoon long as he was forced to watch a lot of his passes sail incomplete from his back. The Hawks' ground attack did not fare any better as the visitors' rushing total for the day would end in the negative.  The GMC defense was stifling holding the visitors to -24 yards on the ground and 138 yards in the air.

"We seem to be getting a little better getting our pressures and our movements each week," Coach Williams said. "We did a good job, and I think as the game wore on they started getting a little frustrated which exacerbated it and made it a little easier for us to keep getting that pressure."
