Bulldogs Pick up a Match Play Win

The Men's Golf team teed it off yesterday against conference opponent, Oxford College of Emory University in a match play event at Harbor Club at Lake Oconee.  The competition between the two squads is a preview of conference competition during the upcoming spring season.  The Bulldogs swept all matches and finished 4-0 on the day. Adam Price (FR, Ireland) won 2&1 against Eric Meindl, Niklas Frimodig (Sweden) won 8 & 6 over Conner Wilkinson, and Floris Veth (FR, Netherlands) beat Taikan Nakada 3 & 2 with the fourth match as a forfeit win for Ashton Denton (FR, Thomasville GA).

"Our guys came out today and took care of business against a conference opponent. Match play is very different from tournament play and it's good to see our guys make the adjustment in how they navigate the golf course for this format. Putts started falling for us and our confidence on the greens is growing, which is big for us as we head into next week's tournament," stated Head Coach Josh Miller.

The team will tee off in their next tournament this coming Monday, October 10th at the Raider Classic hosted by Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, KY.
