The GMC Men's Cross Country team ran at the Jaguar Invitational hosted by Augusta University on Friday 14 October 2016.  It was a beautiful evening on a great course on the Episcopal Day School's Flowing Wells Campus.

The GMC Men ran in a race that included NCAA Division II schools Augusta University, Newberry University, Fort Valley State University and Paine College.  The Running Bulldogs finished in 3^rd place, only 12 points behind Newberry College.  John Dougherty (Gainesville, FL) led GMC with a 5^th place finish with a time of 22:23 over the 4 mile course.  Adam Dougherty (Gainesville, FL) finished right behind his brother in 6^th place with a time of 22:24.  Austin Cook (Cochran, Ga) was the third scoring runner for the team with a time of 23:12 and finished in 13^th place.  Other scoring runners were Dominic Roberts (Las Vegas, NV) in 22^nd place and Alex Garvin (Savannah, Ga) finished in 30^th place.

The men's team will run at the GCAA Conference Championships this Friday afternoon.  The men's 8k will start at 4:45pm.  The race will be held at the Children's Industrial Home on Mumford Rd in Macon.
