GMC JC Rifle compete well on the Road

The University of Alabama-Birmingham took top honors with a 2235, followed by Wofford College with a 2190 and Georgia Military College with a 2157 while shooting air rifle competition during Hurricane Matthew's furry in South Carolina.

Captain Liliana Reyes, of Milledgeville, led the team with a total score of 560 in the standing position.  Jessica Kelley of Stafford, Virginia, in her first traveling college match with the Bulldogs, shot a 551 for second spot on the GMC team.  Max Nalepa of Hinsdale, Illinois took third for the team with a score of 537.  Emily Stefurak of Clover, South Carolina completed the team scores with a 509.  Max and Emily also competed in their first college match at GMC.  According to Mary Ellen Eaton, the team did an outstanding job as The University of Alabama-Birmingham's top shooter scored a 572 to lead the shooters in their NCAA competition against Wofford College.

Other shooters representing GMC were Taylor Thornton of Huntsville, Alabama with a 506 and Taylor-Kay West of Corpus Christi, Texas with a 484.
