GMC Women’s Golf Takes 4th at 2021 Calhoun Women’s Golf Invitational

The GMC Women's Golf team traveled to Point Mallard Golf Course in Decatur, Alabama, to compete in the Spring 2021 Calhoun Women's Golf Invitational. This event stacked the Bulldogs against a strong field of seasoned programs. Macy Williams led the Bulldogs to a 4th place finish while carding an 84-86-170 to earn herself 4th place overall.

In a field led by perennial national qualifier Wallace State, the Bulldogs continue to reach milestones. On the final day, the team shot their lowest competitive round in the program's history. Jada Arnold, Gabby Clay, Emily Carter, and Kaitlyn Brower posted the lowest competitive rounds of their careers.

Coach Monique Veal guided the team this weekend, commented, "Their ball striking was solid this weekend; I am very proud of how they competed. As they continue to work to improve their games, I think we can qualify for the national championship this year."

The Bulldogs will tee it up again March 15-16 as they travel to Gainesville, Georgia, for the 2021 Golden Tigers Spring Invitational at Chattahoochee Golf Club.
