GMC JC Men’s Golf Battle Hard at Golden Tiger Invitational

The GMC Men's Golf team traveled to Gainesville, GA, to compete in the 2021 Golden Tiger Springs Invitational. Inclement weather and the harsh course conditions resulted in a higher score than usual for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs, led by Peter Thayer and Noah Hankins, who each carded a 79, shot 321 in the only round played in this rain-shortened event.

Coach Van Horn commented, "We hit the ball but did not score well. We just were not in synch and did not shoot the numbers we are capable of producing." Thayer and Hankins both placed T18 with their 79, followed by Lurner Benton 80, Austin Quillian 83, and Dylan Humphries 85. Van Horn commented, "That was the Bulldogs highest round of the year, knowing that the men are anxious to get back on the course to rectify themselves," said coach Van Horn.

The Bulldogs will tee it up next on March 22-23 when they travel to the 2021 Union College Bulldog Invitational at Woodson Bend Golf Course in Somerset, KY.
