As overtime started, both teams played strong defense, limiting offense attacks. In the 95th minute, Giselle Funes got a chance and drove it into the back of the net, securing the Bulldogs' win.
Coach Courtney Morgan commented, "I'm proud of the girls for not giving up since this was the second consecutive game that has ended in overtime." She continued, " Gordon State is always a tough team to play. We are getting better and beginning to find our groove with every game."
The team returns home on Monday, April 19, to host Andrew College at 4:00 pm.
