On September 10, the Georgia Military College JC Women's Soccer Team traveled to Oxford College of Emory University with a 6-2 victory. Madison Nimmons led the team in scoring with two goals and an assist.
After a slow start, the Bulldogs finally got on the board in the 21st minute as Ashley Still picked up her third goal of the year. Maggie Smith scored soon after that, and the Bulldogs were off to the races. Giselle Funes scored early in the second of an assist from Nimmons, followed by Still's second goal. Nimmons scored two unassisted goals to seal the victory.
Coach Morgan commented, "This was not our finest game. Yes, we won 6-2, but we struggled in many areas of our game. We have a lot of work to do to accomplish our goals for conference play."
The Bulldogs are back in action Friday, September 17, when they host Andrew College at 4:00 pm. For more information about the Bulldogs and the GMC JC Athletics program, visit www.gmcbulldogs.com.
