MILLEDGEVILLE, GA –

The Georgia Military College Women's Golf Team traveled to Wagram, NC, to compete in the Deercroft Spring Break Invite hosted by St. Andrews University. Elise Forberg led the Bulldogs shooting 151 to capture second place, setting a new record for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs had their best outing of the year, highlighted by the record-setting play of Freshman Elise Forberg. Forberg posted a 77 on day one and was in third place. Chloe Howell (6th - 79) and Sadie Norman (10th- 80) also had solid starts, ending the day in the Top 10. Alexa Anderson rounded out the scoring, and the Bulldogs sat in second place after Round 1.

Forberg took control in Round 2, opening her day with bogey, but quickly fired off six straight pars. She closed her front nine with a two over 38; as she made the turn, she picked up a birdie on 11 and pared seven of the last eight holes to come in with a 36 and post a round of 74, setting a new Bulldogs single round record.

Howell captured another top 10 by shooting an 80 in round 2 to finish 6th place. Norman had a strong event finishing 15th, and Anderson rounded out the Bulldogs' lineup with a 31st-place finish.

Next up for the Bulldogs in the NJCAA South Atlantic District Championship at River Falls Plantation Golf Course in Duncan, SC.
