Georgia Military College celebrated its golf teams on Monday, May 15 at their annual Golf Honors Ceremony.  Sophomore Chloe Howell was awarded the Women's Golfer of the Year and Freshman Bradley Hammock was awarded the Mason Cup as the Men's Golfer of the Year.

Head Coach Kirk Kayden led the ceremony that highlighted the accomplishments of both the Men's and Women's teams.  GMC said goodbye to Sophomores Austin Mills, Breaden McDaniel, Bradley Butcher and Chloe Howell. Each of these athletes have competed in the NJCAA National Championships and contributed greatly to the legacy of GMC's Golf Programs.

During the ceremony Chloe Howell was presented the Women's Player of the Year Award.  She completed the year with the lowest scoring average on the team and had two top 10 finishes. In 2022 she represented GMC at the NJCAA Division 1 National Championship.

In the final presentation of the ceremony Coach Kayden awarded The Mason Cup to Bradley Hammock. The Mason Cup is named for Harold Mason, a long time GMC supporter and golf enthusiast. The Mason Cup is given to a deserving individual on the Men's Golf Team who best represents the game of golf and Georgia Military College's "Character Above All". Bradley posted the lowest scoring average this season with a 78.1. He was the individual champion at this year's Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association Championship. Bradley's work is not done as he will lead the team at the NJCAA DIII National Championship that will begin on June 6. The team will be gunning for their fourth National Championship.
