GMC Lady Bulldogs start the season at MGA Invitational

The GMC Junior College Cross Country team started the 2019 season this past Saturday with a short drive to Macon to participate in the Middle Georgia State University Invitational.  With a tremendous amount of turnover from last year's team.  This was a little bit of an unknown as to what to expect.  Coach Rob Sherwood commented "The change in runners due to graduation, a large influx of runners from around the country to the team, and the extreme heat recently meant that there were lots of questions going into the race.  These men and women did a great job."

The women's team was led by Abbigail Gash who finished in 17th place with a time of 24:21.  She narrowly missed qualifying for the NJCAA Division III National Championships in this race.

Shundrenna Harris (34th), Delaney Gilbert (48th), Jessica Sinno (57th), Sasha Soto (60th) and Annestelle Montalbano (64th) were the scoring runners for the team which finished in 9th place out of 12 colleges.
