GMC JC Women’s Soccer Comes from Behind to Beat ABAC 5-2

The GMC Women's Soccer team hosted Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Fillies on Monday afternoon and came from behind to win 5-2. Freshman Madison Nimmons scored two goals and was awarded the game ball.

The Bulldogs had a slow start, and the Fillies took advantage, capitalizing on a defensive miscue and scoring the game's opening goal. However, the Bulldogs were too much for the Fillies to handle as they scored four unanswered goals to take a 4-1 lead into halftime.

After a 60-minute weather delay, the Bulldogs took the field for the second half. The Fillies struck first to close the gap. At the 90-minute mark, Madison Nimmons scored her second goal of the game as she drilled one in from outside the box.

The Bulldogs will host 1st place Gordon State College on Wednesday, May 5 at 7 pm.
