Georgia Military College JC Men’s Soccer Start Season With A Win

The #18 Georgia Military College JC Men's Soccer team opened their season with a 4-0 win over the #8 ranked Mississippi Gulf Coast. Juan David Herrera led the Bulldogs by scoring two goals.

The Bulldogs controlled the game from the start by holding the middle of the field and not allowing Mississippi Gulf Coast CC to build an attack. The first half ended in a 0-0 tie. After some adjustments at halftime, the Bulldogs came to life. At the 54-minute mark, Herrera scored his first goal on a cross from Carlos Acevedo. The Bulldogs kept the offensive pressure on and scored two more goals in the next 15 minutes as Renan Fiore scored off an assist from Nicolas Milot, and Herrera scored his second goal after some good individual work to create space for a great shot. As the game winded down in the 89th minute, Adrian Gallegos added a fourth goal to end the second half. Alfie Rule and the defense earned the shutout by not allowing a single shot on goal for the entire game.

The Bulldogs will host their home opener on August 27 at 7:00 pm vs. Spartanburg Methodist.
