Six Georgia Military College softball players were recently named Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athletes for the 2020-2021 academic year. Each year The National Fastpitch Coaches Association recognizes softball players across the country who have earned a GPA of 3.5 or greater.

The Bulldog softball team had four sophomores; Brook Aiken, Beth Eddins, Caroline Hughes, and Autumn Land; and two freshmen, Macy Poisal and Jana Shellhorse, recognized for their achievements in the classroom. These student-athletes were part of the 2020-2021 Bulldog softball team that won the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association Championship, earned a berth to the NJCAA National Championship, and posted a 36-17 record.

"Balancing the workload of being a student-athlete can be tasking at times, and for these ladies to excel in the classroom the way they did is a testament to their work ethic. I couldn't be prouder of these young ladies and the work that they put in during the 2020-2021 academic year," stated head coach Ashley Bunn.
