GMC JC Women’s Soccer Earns Important Conference Win

On Friday evening, the Georgia Military College Women's Soccer Team Bulldogs hosted a conference foe, Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Fillies. Jules Romano had one goal and one assist to lead the Bulldogs to a 2-0 win.

The Bulldogs started strong as JahNiyah Phillips took a pass from Jules Romano to find the back of the net four minutes into the game. The Fillies continued to battle, but at the half, the Bulldogs were up 1-0. Romano increased the lead 2-0 in the second half to secure a much-needed conference win.

Coach Courtney Morgan commented, "This was a great team win, especially with six of our starters out due to injuries. We possessed the ball and worked well with each other. We have one more conference game before we get a well-earned break and being the last half of our season."

The Bulldogs are on the road to Andrew College on September 28 at 3:00 pm. For more information about the Bulldogs and the GMC JC Athletics program, visit www.gmcbulldogs.com.
