GMC JC Women’s Soccer Falls to Polk State College

Georgia Military College JC Women's Soccer team hosted Polk State College on Sunday, October 10, in a non-conference game. Lindsey Mathis was the star of the game, making 13 saves.

The Bulldogs returned from a two-week break and struggled to find their rhythm against the talented and fast Polk State Eagles team. The game was scoreless for the first 13 minutes as Lindsey Mathis kept the Bulldogs in it by making big saves. Polk State scored their first goal and never looked back. In the end, the Bulldogs suffered an 8-0 loss.

Coach Courtney Morgan commented, "These are the games we need. It was a non-conference game against a quality team where we could try different things and approach some key games in our conference. We were able to learn a lot about ourselves, and we hope to use it in the next couple of weeks."

The Bulldogs will be back in action on October 12 as they host Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College for a 4:00 pm matchup. For more information about the Bulldogs and the GMC JC Athletics program, visit www.gmcbulldogs.com.
