Four GMC JC Bulldogs Earn National Honors

The GMC JC Football Program had another highly successful season in 2016 earning a 9-2 mark and a final national ranking of #14 in the NJCAA National Polls.  Several individual Bulldogs however earned some additional superlatives as they were awarded NJCAA All-American honors at the end of the season.

Earning a spot as a First Team NJCAA All-American is GMC Offensive Lineman Dennis Daley (6'6, 320).  Dennis started at the left tackle position both years at GMC and played a big part in the offense being the #4 scoring team in the country in 2016.

Three GMC Bulldogs placed on the Honorable Mention NJCAA All-American squad for 2016.  GMC sophomore wide receiver Isaac Zicco (6'1, 190) leads the list as one of the most productive receivers in the country in 2016. Zicco was 9th nationally in catches, 6th in total yardage, and 2nd in touchdowns scored. Freshman Kicker/Punter Grant Clemmons (6'3, 180) had a stellar year as well earning All-American honors as a Kicker. He was 4th in the country in kick scoring, 1st in kickoff yardage, and also finished 11th nationally in punting average at over 40 yards per punt.  Finally, freshman DB/Return Specialist Adorian Beach (5'8, 165) earned his spot on the All-American squad as a return specialist after averaging 30.1 yards per kickoff return and 13.4 (7th nationally) on punt returns. Beach's kick-off return average would have rated him 5th nationally, but due to the GMC defense being the #6 scoring defense nationally, he did not get enough returns to qualify for ranking in that category.
