The Bulldogs Split with Andrew College on Road

The Bulldogs (22-20) traveled to Cuthbert Georgia to take on conference foe, Andrew College and came away with a double header split by winning game one 6-2 and losing a close on in game two 7-6.

In Game one, the Bulldogs beat Andrew College 6-2 in seven innings as Jordan Crews, went 3-3 at the plate. She singled in the second, third, and seventh innings to help the cause.

Madason Messer was a workhorse in the circle for the Bulldogs as she only allowed one earned run, seven hits and one walk while striking out two over seven innings of work.

The Bulldogs stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring four runs on a two-run home run by Caitlin Collins, a groundout by Kiley Rediger, and an RBI single by Jordan Crews.

The Bulldogs piled on two more runs in the top of the sixth with a triple by Taylor Little that ignited the offense, scoring Jenni McDaniel.

After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the sixth, Andrew College faced just a 6-2 deficit. Andrew College couldn't muster a comeback and the GMC Bulldogs took the first game.

In Game two, a tight game was decided in the sixth inning as the Bulldogs fell to Andrew College 7-6 in seven innings.

Kiley Rediger was hot from the plate for the Bulldogs as she went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. She homered in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.

The top of the second saw the Bulldogs take an early lead, 3-0. Caitlin Collins got things going for the Bulldogs with a single. A groundout by Kirsten Albright then moved Caitlin Collins from first to second. The Bulldogs pushed more runs across when Jenni McDaniel scored on a two-run home run by Taylor Little, which puts her one home run away from tying the single season record of 11.

The Bulldogs put up one run in each of the third, fourth and sixth. In the third, the Bulldogs scored on a solo home run by Kiley Rediger.

After a quick strike from the Bulldogs, Andrew College responded with four runs in the fourth. Andrew College scored on an RBI double by Davis, a two-run error, and an error. Andrew College didn't relinquish the lead after scoring three runs in the sixth inning when it scored on two singles as they beat the Bulldogs, 7-6.

The Bulldogs will return to play on Thursday, March 31st at they travel to compete against Thomas University JV with a 1pm scheduled start.
