Georgia Military College women's soccer team traveled to take on South Georgia for the final game of the regular season.
South Georgia opened the scoring in the first half of play by fielding a rebound and putting the ball into the back of GMC's net. In the second half of play, Adisa Nwawel received a pass from Annie Akins and placed a shot pass the South Georgia goalkeeper to tie the game at 1.
For the remainder of regulation, the game remained tied at 1-1 sending the two teams into overtime play. Just 57 seconds into the first overtime period, Lesley Torres received a pass from Cecilia Graham and took a shot from outside the 18 yard box to find the back of the net to end the game, sending GMC home with a 2-1 victory.
GMC's next game will be Thursday, October 25th at 7pm when they travel to Gordon to play in the conference final game.
